A Wonderland Tag

Today I thought I would combine Bildmalarna Sitting Mimosa with a Penny Black  Caught Nappin wood mounted stamp.   The reason.......................... Lewis Carol's Birthday of Alice in Wonderland fame!

I have made this tag with the Penny Black cat as the Cheshire Cat and Mimosa as Alice.  The other stamps are from a set I have from Kirk's Folly - storybook collection.

I firstly stamped a Indigoblu background stamp with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I then covered the tag with H2O's (mica paints) then buffed it up.

I then stamped a row of hearts and some wording onto acetate with versamark and heat set with white embossing powder and secured this on the tag with brads, coloured with a promarker red pen.

All the characters were stamped onto white cardstock and coloured in with distress pens.

Sometimes its nice to think out of the box for your stamps and try to give them a new lease of life.  I think they both look grand as Alice and the Cheshire Cat.
