Going Around and Around

Hi Everyone
Sue Here

Today I am using both the expandables I have been using all week into one card. The fancy lattice and botanical swirls.

I firstly cut 3/4 circle from a circle cutter, making sure I did not cut the top of the card.  I then took 2 pieces of backing paper and embossed the fancy lattice on one and die cut the botanical swirls.  I then glued then in place on the front of the card in a ratio of 40-60.

I then put a piece of ribbon over the point where they meet, followed by a piece of embossed edging of  Persian Accents covered in WOW Gold embossing powder.

I then punched out a few flowers and glued these onto the left side of the card.  I then used Spellbinder Label 25 to stamp a sentiment onto from the grattitude set.

Finally I used some liquid pearl in gold to cover the centres of the flowers, the tip of the edge, and a leaf on the right hand side.

Take care

Thrifty Thursday - A little Treat!

Hi Everyone
Sue Here

Today I am making chocolate treats for any occasion.

There are some good deals on tins of chocolates in the shops at present and so you can make up quite a few bags as give aways with some left over to eat whilst crafting!

Firstly get a metal clipper (I purchased this for £1 for 2 from Poundland) and die cut  the spellbinder fancy lattice in white cardstock.  I then glued the lattice to the clip with Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic glue and left to dry.

I then die cut a rectangle from the large deckled mega rectangle, 1 x fantastic flourish1, spellbinder poinsettia and coloured these in with distress inks in seedless preserves, faded jeans and peacock feathers. I then stamps in archival black ink the sentiment from the winter wonders stamp set.

Finally and the best part I got an A6 plastic pocket (the sort you use for keeping your made cards clean if you sell them) and put chocolates in it (making sure that it was one for the bag and one for me).

Don't make yourself sick making this project!
Take care

Spellbinder's Expandables!

Good Morning!
This week we are showcasing the Spellbinder's Expandables and I am kick starting this off by sharing a card I made using the 'Botanical Swirls'.

To create this card I have used the negative design as a mask after running it through my cuttlebug to create a Design Paper! To do this I simply laid the design flat on some white cardstock and sprayed a combination of Distress Re-Inker & Perfect Pearls mixed together in a mister over the top. I have then created a second DP by gently misting another piece and simply leaving it to dry.

INGREDIENTS -
Spellbinder's Expandables 'Botanical Swirls'
Spellbinder's Nestabilities Classic Circles Small & Large
Penny Black Stamp '...everyday'
Flowers from WOC
White Organza Ribbon, Twinlets Glitter & Dew Drops

INKS USED -
Distress Re-Inker - Peacock Feathers & Shaded Lilac
Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers

Thanks for popping by!

HAPPY CRAFTING!
