Feeling Pink!

Good Morning!
Following the Pink theme on Monday where I shared a tag with you all I am back today with a card.
I have made a simple card with Distress Inks and Stains to create the background, and here is how!

After trimming some white card stock down to size I swiped some Stains over a craft sheet which I then swiped the card through and heat set. Inking around the edges with Distress Ink to finish.

Using a white ink pad I stamped a post mark stamp in the top left and bottom right corners. Following this I stamped my main image in the centre using black Archival Ink and added a strip of Masking Tape across the bottom. Once everything dried I added some ribbon, stuck the card onto my card blank and then embellished!

INGREDIENTS -
Tim Holtz Stamp
DoCrafts Postmark Stamp
Masking Tape (Available from J&C Creations)
Tim Holtz Word Sticker
Flowers, Seam Binding Ribbon, Flower Charm, Dew Drops & Glitter
Ranger Glossy Accents, PVA Glue & Liquid Pearls - Onyx Pearl

INKS USED -
Stampin' Up White Ink Pad
Archival Ink - Jet Black

Pretty As A Picture!

Good Morning!
On Monday I shared a decorated plant pot that could be used a scissor / pen holder and today I have altered a blank frame! I started the frame off the same way as pot by painting it all with white Gesso paint.

I then swiped Distress Paint in the inner squares of the frame, sprayed with water and tilted to help spread the colour.

Once dry I stamped some designs in Archival Ink in the centre of the squares.

I then added a strip of tissue tape across the bottom edge.

I finished the frame off by embellishing with an assortment of flowers and dew drops.

INGREDIENTS -
Tim Holtz Stamps
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tissue Tape
Flowers & Dew Drops
Ranger Glossy Accents & White Gesso Paint

INKS USED -
Archival Ink - Jet Black
Distress Paint - Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet & Picked Raspberry

J&C Creations - Home Decor!

Good Morning!
It's the start of a new month and the start of a brand new theme this week of Home Decor! We wanted to share something this week that would give those of you who wanted to try something a little different to card / tag making some ideas. To kick start this off I have come up with a way of using a blank Plant Pot to create a handy scissor and pen pot!

To give myself an even base to decorate the pot I first painted it with Gesso paint and left to dry.

Next I grabbed my Distress Paints and using 'Mowed Lawn' swiped it all over the pot, sprayed with water then let it run all over the pot whilst rotating to cover the whole surface. Yes it is messy but it's worth it in the end!

Once dry I inked up a rubber stamp with another Distress Paint and instead of using an acrylic block I pressed it onto the pot wit my fingers. This makes it a lot easier to stamp what with the surface being curved.

I then repeated this with a larger version of the same stamp and a different coloured paint.

I didn't want to over embellish the pot what with it being used for a practical purpose, so I just added a strip of ribbon underneath the lip with a few flowers glued on top to help hold it in place.
I then tied the ribbon in a bow at the front fixing a flower charm in the centre.

Here is what the pot looks like finished and being used as a scissor & pen pot!

INGREDIENTS -
Teracotta Plant Pot
White Gesso Paint
Heartfelt Creations 'Tattered Blossoms' Stamp Set
Flowers
Ribbon & Flower Charm
Ranger Glossy Accents & Liquid Pearls - Lavender Lace

INKS USED -
Distress Paint - Broken China, Mowed Lawn & Seedless Preserves

Metal Magic Inspiration!

Good Morning!
I'm back today with my 2nd project for our theme this week of Metal Magic! Today I have a card to share with you where I have designed to the Design Paper myself using Stamps and Inks.
So without further ado, let's begin!

To start of I have trimmed some Manilla Cardstock to fit onto a 6x6 card blank. I then stamped a cogs background stamp onto two seperate corners using an Emboss Ink pad and Clear Embossing Powder, then heat set. Once cooled I swiped some Distress Stains over the whole piece and blended the edges with Distress Ink Pads.

To add some more interest to the paper I stamped a Floral Stamp in Metallic Distress Paint and once again heat set.

I have made a sentiment the main focal point of this card and to do this I simply stamped my sentiment in Distress Ink and blended once again around the edges. Once happy I mounted both pieces onto some Silver Card. As usual I have embellished the card with a few of my favourite products and here is the result!

INGREDIENTS -
Tim Holtz Stamp
DoCrafts Cogs Background Stamp
Heartfelt Creations 'Tattered Blossoms' Stamp Set
Docrafts Clock Embellishment
Cheesecloth, Seam Binding Ribbon & Dew Drops
Ranger Glossy Accents, PVA & Clear Embossing Powder

INKS USED -
Emboss Ink Pad
Distress Paint - Brushed Pewter
Distress Stain - Brushed Pewter & Antiqued Bronze
Distress Ink - Vintage Photo & Walnut Stain

J&C Creations - Metal Magic Tag!

Good Morning!
This week it's all about Metal and what better way to start this off than by using some of the new Metallic Distress Paints! I simply swiped them over a tag like I usually do, sprayed liberally with water and then heat set. I used all 3 of the new colours!

To add to the metal look I then covered the tag with a variety of Distress Inks and sprayed a small amount of water this time onto the tag to create drip marks. I then stamped my main image using Archival Ink.

I finished the tag off by dying some ribbon with the Silver Distress Paint and a Stain which I then looped through the top. Embellishing also with my usual choice of Flowers, Flower Charm, Tissue Tape, Buttons, Dew Drops, Glitter and a Decorative Pin!

INGREDIENTS -
Tim Holtz Stamp
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tissue Tape
Flowers, Flower Charm, Dew Drops, Glitter, Decorative Pin & Buttons
Seam Binding Ribbon

INKS USED -
Archival Ink - Jet Black
Distress Stain - Vintage Photo
Distress Paints - Brushed Pewter, Antiqued Bronze & Tarnished Brass
