Spellbinders & Embossing!

Good Morning!
This week we shall be looking at both Spellbinders & Embossing! I have decided to kick off the week by combining them both with a simple tag that any beginner could make as a little introduction to both Dry Embossing and using Embossing Powders.

To create the tag I have used used the Spellbinder's M-Bossabilities Folder 'Music' and simply ran the tag with it through my Die-Cutting Machine. This is what we call Dry Embossing!
Here is a little look at what the tag looks like once this has been done ...

Of course there is nothing wrong with keeping the tag like this but I decided to add two contrasting Embossing Powders to it ... Clear and Black! To do this I simply swiped my tag with an Emboss It Ink Pad over the bottom half and sprinkled over Clear Embossing Powder, then heated. I repeated this process on the top half but this time using Black Embossing Powder.
See how the Embossing Powders help make the raised design pop?!
It doesn't matter if some of the powder clusters in a space more than elsewhere as I feel it help give the design more depth :)

To add a little finishing touch I added some ribbon across where the two powders meet and through the hole at the top. To complete the tag I added a little sentiment and glittered rose to the ribbon.

INGREDIENTS -
Spellbinder's M-Bossabilities 'Music'
Sentiment from Pink Petticoat
Clear & Black Embossing Powders
Rose from Wild Orchid Crafts
Seam Binding Ribbon, Twinklets & Dew Drops from my stash
Emboss It Ink Pad & Heat It Tool

Thanks for popping by & I hope you enjoy looking at all the creations this week!
HAPPY CRAFTING!
