Vintage Father Christmas-Intermediate

Hi Everyone

Today I have made a card using the same Antique Santa but with a different twist.
The card is 6 x 6 inches.

Items needed:
Ranger Glue and Seal
Diamond mask
Flourish
Glitter Card
Glossy cardstock
Paintbrush with water
Ebony WOW embossing powder
1. Start by stamping the Santa in versamark and heat set with ebony embossing powder.
2. Stamp a sentiment and again heat set with ebony embossing powder.
3. Take black soot distress ink and use as a watercolour paint and colour in the Santa in different shades of black/grey and white.
4. Once dry, paint over the Santa and go over the sentiment in glue and seal.  (This is a clear paint which is used for sticking and sealing craft projects.  However this can be used to go over projects in order that if you apply further ink and paints, it will not adhere to the image painted and easily rub off.)
5.Once dry, with either heat or left overnight, take red and green colours of distress ink and colour in the background, going over the sentiment and Santa.  Once you have done this get a piece of kitchen cloth and buff up the project wiping away the ink from over the sentiment and Santa. These should now be their original colours.
6. Use a diamond mask and sponge through the holes with a purple distress ink.
7. Take the die and cut a poinsettia out of red and black parchment paper.  Lightly go over with black soot distress ink.
8. Die cut a flourish or stamp from glitter card and adhere above the Santa.
9. Glue together.
