Space Day - 3rd May

Toady is 'Space Day'. This opens up a whole load of possibilities for male orientated cards. For this card I have used a space stamp set but a lot can be done with just bubble wrap, glitter card and a highlight pen.
I began with a black card which is sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer Mica Spray  Midnight Blue, then it was sprinkled with Ultra thick embossing crystals in gold and heated from underneath so it didn't blow away. There are also a few dabs of white acrylic paint made with a shaving brush, this makes the space background.
The moon is a circle of white card covered with double sided sticky sheet (or tape) and then covered with bubble wrap taken from an old envelope. I have burst all my bubbles before dabbing with silver acrylic paint.
The Earth, alien and greetings are a Creative Expressions stamp set Outer Space. The Earth is stamped in Stazon on acetate and then glittered from behind using Art Institute Dries Clear Glue. The alien is stamped in black ink and coloured in with a highlight pen before being embossed with Wow Luminous embossing powder, he actually glows in the dark.
The greetings are embossed in silver and die cut using a speech bubble set, then mounted on foam pads. The final thing left to do was mount the space-scape on a piece of mirri card.
If you don't have mica sprays you could use an old toothbrush to flick paint on to the card, it would give you a spatter of stars.

Most of the materials used are from J&C Creations, if you can't find them on the website then please give them a call and they will be happy to help.

Take Care - Rocky
