Metal Love

Hi Everyone
Sue Here

This week  is Metal Magic week and I'm starting off with craft metal

Love stamp
S5-058 Spellbinder Ironwork Accents

Other Products Used: Ribbon, backing paper, green pearl, brown, gold mirri and white cardstock, Spellbinders Premium Craft Metal in copper, Beadazzles beads, WOW Ebony embossing powder,  Versamark, Black Stazon, , Black Soot distress ink,  Pinflair silicone glue,  Creative Expressions Acrylic glue, cut and dry foam, antistatic bag, stamp positioner, corner punch.

Instructions: Start off with a 20 cm square folded card.  Cut mirri card to 19 cm square and use your corner punch, then the backing paper and the green pearl card to 18.5 cm square.  Make an embossed line 0.5 cm in, all around the green card.  Make a sticky mask from ‘post it notes’ or similar and cover all around the embossed line so that your stamping will not go over it. Run over the green card with an antistatic bag.  Put your 3 largest daisies on the green card and position them where you want them.  Take one at a time and stamp in Versamark followed by black embossing powder and heat.  Repeat with the other 2 stamps.  Make 3 masks with the daisies stamp and place over the embossed daisies on the card.  Stamp the bella rose leaf stamp onto the stamp positioner in water based ink.

Move the clear plate stamp positioner around the green card until you are satisfied where you want the scroll effect and leaves positioned on your green card incorporating the daisies when you 3d them.  Once stamped in Versamark, use the black embossing powder and heat. Do this around the card until you are happy with the result.  I did it 4 times.  Remove the masks on the daisies.  Stamp and emboss 4 times the leaves onto another piece of green cardstock, cut them out and go around the edges with black soot distress ink.

Stamp the 3 daisies onto metal with black Stazon and using an embossing tool, go around the lines on the daisies, cut them out and using a texture tool on the reverse side to smooth out the leaves.  Fill these in, on the reverse, with glossy accents/matt accents and leave to dry.  This gives the leaves strength and shape.  On the green pearl card, cut out with a craft knife, the areas you want the backing paper to show through.

Die cut the ironwork tag in brown and the centre in white card.  Stamp and emboss on white card the large love sentiment and cut out the letters L.O.V.E.   Overlap and glue them to the front of the tag.  Glue the cut out leaves onto the card over the leaves already there, giving a raised effect.  Glue the metal daisies onto the daisies already on the card, giving a raised effect.  Glue the tag to the card over the leaves.  Pour glossy accents into the centre of the daisies and sprinkle beadazzles on them.  Leave to dry.  Put the card together and place a ribbon down the left side of the main picture.

Take time to go to the J & C website to purchase most of these products.

Take care...Sue
