Today we are going to introduce you to Zentagling!

In a word, a doodle. A structured, pattern containing doodles. The term 'Zentangle' was coined by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas when, one day, Maria described her experience, as she created her art, as "feeling timeless, free and engendering a sense of deep well being. I use the technique of Zentangle in my own artwork, incorporating them into sketching, art-journaling and collage. Here is a page from my journal..... now journaling, that's a whole new Technique Tuesday!
For today I have refined this and incorporated stamps from J & C to get you started. You can Zentangle anything. I have to warn you it is addictive!!
Stamp out a set of Heartfelt Creations Tropical Floral Swirls and Penny Black Petal Party flowers and leaves in versamark and heat stamp with ebony embossing powder.
Colour these in with distress markers in any colour you choose. When dry take a permanent very fine tip marker and start to fill in the flowers and leaves with your own doodles. Squares, lines, circles anything you like and repeat this a few times on the same flower and leaves.
Then add some cosmic shimmer acrylic glue and glamour dust to make them more christmasie!!
Then get some flower wire and wrap it around your finger a couple of times near to the top giving it a spiral. Then glue the flowers and leaves onto the stems with a hot glue gun,. For this project I have only done a few but you could make as many as you wish for your project in mind. The vase I purchased for 50 pence from a car boot sale.
I have added a butterfly from the Spellbinder wonderful wings in white card and used cosmic shimmer glue and glamour dust to highlight it.
This project would be nice as a center piece for your table at Christmas.
