Snow Family by Rocky

Snow Family from Rocky

This lovely family are a Penny Black stamp called Snow Family. I know that strictly speaking they are not animals but they are cute and cuddly and I'm sure there is an animal under the snow somewhere!
The image was stamped in Archival black on plain white card. Then the hats and scarves were coloured in with watercolour  pens, with a little grey Promarker to add shading.
If you look closely at the bobbles they are fluffy, I found some fluff in my stash that has lasted for years.
The background has been run through a Cuttlebug embossing folder - Snowflakes.

I cut out the snow family and the lower part of the card to keep it smooth, just like fallen snow. It was then mounted on the embossed layer using foam pads to give it dimension. The greeting was stamped in Archival black and clear embossed before being cut out with a Spellbinder die, the smallest die in the set - Deckle Edge Mega Rectangle.
Most of the items used to make this card can be bought from J and C Creations. They have lots of really gorgeous Penny Black stamps so please go and have a look.
